Brushes and combs
This is the holy grail tool you need for longhaired dogs and all cats. Be sure you're able to part the hair all the way to the skin, and you'll know your pet is mat-free.
Use the line brushing technique for fluffy dogs before combing. Be sure to use a conditioning spray first.
This rubber curry is great for pulling out shedding hair on shorthaired dogs and cats.
This works fantastically for whisking off shedding hair on shorthaired dogs — and horses.
This works well for protecting the hair and making brushing easier.
Nails
This rechargeable nail grinder is surprisingly durable for the price. We've been really impressed after spending hundreds over the years on much pricier grinders. The diamond tip is a welcome change from the sandpaper ones that always need replacing.
Millers Forge nail clippers are the gold standard. Useful for all sizes of both dogs and cats.
Treats
Freeze dried meat is always popular, and it doesn't get as messy as wet treats can.
Churu works well for the kitties. Most of them go wild for it.
